Short answer
If you are running late, go anyway. Your pass keeps working after the start time, and arriving late is never counted against you.
How late is too late
Check-in stays open after the event starts, usually until after it ends. Some events cannot take people once they have begun, such as a walking tour that has already left, and those may stop checking people in earlier.
If the door has closed, your pass says check-in has closed. and shows no code.
What we record
When you check in, the time you arrived is recorded. It is never used as a penalty, and a late arrival counts the same as arriving on time on your Turning up record.
If you are not going to make it at all
Cancel instead, so someone else can have your place:
- Open the event.
- Tap I can't make it, then confirm.
Cancelling with enough notice counts the same as turning up. See Cancel your RSVP.
Tips
- Open the event and tap Before you go to check for announcements from the host, such as a changed entrance.
- If you cannot get checked in, speak to the host or door staff at the event.
