Short answer
A missed event is simply a place you held and did not use, worked out from check-in after the event. Only you can see your record, on the Turning up screen, and it shows counts, never a score. If you were there but were not checked in, contact support.
See your record
- Tap You, then Safety Center.
- Tap Turning up.
The screen tells you how many of the places you held you kept, and lists what happened:
- turned up
- cancelled with notice, which counts the same as turning up
- cancelled late
- cancelled after it started
- did not turn up
- called off by the host, which never counts against you
- still being looked into, which counts as nothing until it is settled
Until you have been to a few events, the screen says it is still early days and nothing counts against you.
Who can see it
Nobody else. It is not on your profile, hosts cannot see it, and it is never shown as a percentage or a score.
How a missed event is decided
- Nothing is decided until the event is over and its door has closed, so arriving late is never a missed event.
- If you were checked in, the event counts as attended.
- If you held a place and were not checked in, it counts as missed. This includes events where nobody checked people in. In Your plans, a past event like that says "You held a place."
- A waitlist place never counts, and neither does an event the host cancelled.
- Recent events matter more than old ones, so turning up to events improves your record over time.
If you were there but were not checked in
- Tap You, then Settings, then Help and legal.
- Tap Contact support, then New case.
- Choose Ticket or entry.
- Name the event and say what happened, for example that your phone died, the scanner was not working, or nobody was checking people in.
A person reads every case, and replies appear in the same case. It is not instant.
Avoid a missed event
If your plans change, cancel from the event page with I can't make it. Somebody else wanted that place. See Cancel your RSVP.
