Safety

If you need help right now

Short answer

If you or anyone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services now. In the United States, call 911. Report to nCommunity afterwards, once you are safe.

Once you are safe

  1. Get away from the situation. You never need to stay at an event.
  2. Block the person if you do not want any more contact. Open their profile, tap Report or block, then Block. It takes effect straight away and they are not told. See disconnect, block, hide or report.
  3. Report what happened. A person at nCommunity reads every report. See report a person or behavior or report an event or venue.
  4. No account, or no app? Use the report form. It takes safety concerns, intimate images shared without consent, and copyright complaints.

Where to find safety tools in the app

Open the You tab and tap Safety Center (it is also in Settings). It has:

  • the reminder to call your local emergency number if something is happening now
  • who can see you and reach you
  • your account standing
  • the people you have blocked and the things you have hidden
  • Your reports, showing what you sent
  • Community standards

Before you go to an event

The event page has a section called What we can tell you. It lists things we checked, such as the event's age limit and whether it has changed since it was published. These are facts we checked, not promises about how the event will go. Trust your own judgement too.

In immediate danger? Call local emergency services first (911 in the US). Support is not an emergency service.
