Report a person, a message or a host

Short answer

You can report a person from their profile, a message from inside a conversation, and a host from their event page. A person at nCommunity reads every report. Nothing happens to anybody automatically because you sent one, and the person you report is not notified.

Report a person

  1. Open their profile. You can reach it from an attendee list, a conversation, or anywhere their name or photo appears.
  2. Tap Report or block (the three dots at the top).
  3. Tap Report.
  4. Under What's going on?, pick the reason that fits best, for example Harassment, Threats or violence, Pretending to be someone, Scam or fraud, They seem underage or Sharing an intimate image without consent.

You see Reported. A person reviews this. when it has been sent.

Report a message

  1. Open the conversation.
  2. Press and hold the message.
  3. Tap Report and pick a reason.

Reporting a message keeps a copy of it for review, even if the sender deletes it afterwards. That is a good reason to report a message as soon as you see it. You cannot report your own messages.

To report the person rather than one message, tap More (the three dots at the top of the conversation), then Report.

Report a host

  1. Open the event.
  2. Tap More (the three dots on the photo), then Report a problem.
  3. Choose The host, then pick what they have done.

The report includes which event you were at, so the reviewer knows what you mean.

Things to know

  • Reporting the same person or thing twice does not count as two complaints, and the first report is the one that stands. If something new happens with a person you have already reported, or you have more to add, contact us so it is not missed.
  • Reporting does not block anyone. If you want no more contact, block them too. See disconnect, block, hide or report.
  • If an intimate image of you has been shared, report it with the intimate image reason. If you do not have an account, use the report form. Never send us the image; tell us where it is.
  • No account, or no app? The report form works without signing in.

Common problems

  • "That didn't send. Nothing was filed." Nothing was recorded. Check your connection and try again.
  • I cannot find the person's profile any more. If either of you has blocked the other, the profile is not shown. Use the report form or contact us, and say where you saw them.
