Report an event, its host or its venue

Short answer

Open the event, tap More, then Report a problem. You are asked whether the problem is the event, the host or the venue, because each has its own list of reasons. A person at nCommunity reads every report, and nothing happens to anybody automatically because you sent one.

Steps

  1. Open the event.
  2. Tap More (the three dots on the photo).
  3. Tap Report a problem.
  4. Under what are you reporting?, choose The event (the listing, or what is actually happening), The host (how the person running it has behaved) or The venue (the building, or how you were treated there). The venue option only appears when the event has one.
  5. Pick the reason that fits best.

You see Sent. A person reads this. when it has gone through.

Reasons you can give

For the event:

  • It is not what the listing says
  • It is unsafe
  • It is a scam
  • The host does not have permission to use this property
  • My photo or work, used without permission
  • An intimate image shared without consent
  • Spam, or the same event twice
  • Hate or discrimination
  • Sexual content
  • Something illegal
  • Something else

For the venue:

  • The place itself is unsafe
  • The access is not what it claims
  • It is not what it says it is
  • I was treated badly or turned away
  • It is not there, or it has closed
  • Something else

The venue report includes which event you were at, so a reviewer can look into it.

Things to know

  • Reporting the same event or venue twice does not count as two complaints, and the first reason you gave is the one that stands. If you have more to add, contact us.
  • Hosts cannot report their own events, and venue managers cannot report their own venues.
  • If you simply do not want to see an event, host or venue again, Show me less of this in the same menu is the lighter option. It is not a report. See disconnect, block, hide or report.
  • Not a member? Neighbours, photographers and anyone else can use the report form without an account.

What happens next

See what happens after you report.

Common problems

  • "That didn't send. Nothing was filed." Nothing was recorded. Check your connection and try again.
  • There is no venue option. The event has no venue listed, for example it is in a park. Report The event and describe the place.
