Short answer
nCommunity is an app for finding things happening near you and actually going to them. It turns your interests into real events, checks you in at the door, and lets you connect with people you met there.
What you can do
- Find events. The Discover tab shows what is on near you, and Search finds something specific.
- Say you are going. RSVP to free events or buy a ticket for paid ones. Your pass is in the app.
- Get checked in. You are checked in at the door, so your attendance is a real record rather than a click.
- Go solo. Turning up alone is normal here, and events that are good on your own are easy to find.
- Meet people. After an event, you can connect with people who were verifiably there too, if you both say yes. Messages only open between people who are connected.
- Join communities. The Communities tab is for groups that meet regularly.
- Host. The Create tab is where you put on an event of your own.
Where it works
nCommunity is only in New York for now. The areas you can choose from are New York City neighborhoods, plus Jersey City and Hoboken.
What it is not
There is no public follower count and no endless feed. Hosts are judged by their ratings, reviews and the events they have run, not by an audience.
For businesses and venues
Venues, businesses and brands use Studio in a web browser at https://studio.ncommunity.app. A Studio sign-in is separate from a member account in the app.
