Studio for businesses and brands

Claim your venue and become a Verified Hub

Short answer

When you sign up as a venue, you claim the place (or add it if it is not listed), and a person at nCommunity confirms that you run it before you can manage it. Verified Hub is a later, separate status: it means we checked who runs the place and that you told us what we ask. It does not mean we checked fire safety, licensing, permits, accessibility or insurance.

Claim your place

  1. Create a Studio account at https://studio.ncommunity.app and choose A venue. See set up a Studio desk.
  2. On which place is yours?, type the name under Is your place already here? and choose Look for it.
  3. If it is listed, choose That is mine. If not, fill in the form under not listed? with the name, street, city or neighborhood, state, ZIP code, and put the pin on your door under Where the door is.
  4. Under How can we check you run it?, say how we can confirm it, for example the phone number listed on your own website or an email on your own domain.
  5. Choose Ask to run this place.

Nothing changes for the place, and no bookings reach you, until somebody has confirmed the claim.

While your claim is reviewed

  • Studio shows we're checking. with your claim marked Waiting on us.
  • A person reviews every claim. There is no set turnaround yet, and we email you when it is decided.
  • We usually confirm by calling the number on your own website, so keep that line answered.
  • Before we can hand the place to you, you are asked to accept the agreement for venues on nCommunity.
  • To ask about your claim, choose Ask Support. To withdraw it, choose Take it back.

If a claim is Not approved, you can ask about a different place or contact us.

Open your venue to booking requests

Once you run the place, open Listing. The status card says Taking booking requests or Not taking requests yet. If requests are not open yet, choose Ask us to open bookings.

Fill in your profile on the same page. The venue's name is fixed there; to change it, contact Support.

Verified Hub

The listing checklist on Listing shows what Verified Hub needs, in two groups:

  • What you can fill in: your profile details, such as capacity, accessibility, event types, food, alcohol and sound policies, insurance and cancellation terms, and contacts.
  • What we check: marked nCommunity review. Only nCommunity can record these, such as confirming who runs the place.

Only nCommunity grants Verified Hub, and only when every item is complete. You cannot set it yourself.

What the badge means, wherever it appears:

  • nCommunity checked who runs the place and its details, and the venue disclosed the information we require.
  • It does not mean nCommunity checked fire safety, licensing, permits, accessibility compliance or insurance, or that any particular event is allowed there.

A material change to something that was checked, or a restriction on the venue, takes the badge off until it is checked again.

The Verification tab

Listing also has a Verification tab. This is separate from Verified Hub. We use it only when we need proof that you run the place, and a person reviews what you send. Files are private, PDF, JPG or PNG up to 10 MB, and are never shown as a badge. Do not send verification documents by email. There is no set turnaround yet.

Common problems

  • "Nothing by that name." Add the place under not listed? instead.
  • "Put the pin on your door first." Place the pin before sending.
  • Your place is already run by somebody else. Send the claim anyway with how we can check it. A person decides.
