Short answer
You can delete your account from inside the app. It is not immediate: the app schedules it for 30 days later, shows you the date, and you can stop it at any time before then. The screen lists exactly what is removed and what is kept before you agree to anything.
If you want a copy of your data, download it first.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the You tab, tap Settings, then Account.
- Under leaving, tap Delete account.
- Read what goes and what stays, and why.
- Tap Ask to delete my account, then Schedule it.
You need to have signed in recently to do this. If the app says deleting needs a fresh sign-in, go back to Account, tap Sign out, sign in again with a new code, and return to Delete account.
If something has to be settled first
Deleting never cancels anything for you. If any of these apply, the screen lists them under settle these first and tells you what to do:
- an event you are hosting that has not happened yet: cancel it from the event
- a plan you pay for: cancel it in billing
- a paid waitlist you are on: leave the waitlist
- a community you own: hand it to another member, or archive it
- a business you run in Studio: send a request through the privacy request form
Change your mind
Until the date shown, nothing is removed and you can use nCommunity normally. To stop it, go back to Settings, Account, Delete account, and tap Keep my account.
What is removed and what is kept
The removed items include your name, handle, photo and bio, your email address and phone number, your sign-in and every signed-in device, your saved places, interests and preferences, the text of messages you sent (for both people), the words in your reviews, your saved cards, and your communities and blocks.
Some records stay, with your name taken off them, because they are about something that happened or about other people. These include that you attended an event, payments, refunds and payouts, safety reports and decisions, your support conversations, what you agreed to and when, and the star ratings you gave. Money still owed to you keeps paying out to the account you set up. The app lists each of these with the reason.
If you no longer have the app
Use the account deletion page or the privacy request form and choose to delete your account. We email a link to the address on your account, and nothing happens until you open it. The request then follows the same schedule as one made in the app.
Studio accounts
A Studio sign-in is deleted by request. In Studio, open Account, find your data requests, select Make a request, and choose Delete this sign-in and its personal information.
Only want a break?
You do not have to delete your account to step back. You can turn off notifications or simply sign out from Settings, then Account, then Sign out.
Still need help?
Never send a password, a sign-in code or a full card number.
