Finding and attending events

RSVP to an event and find your ticket

Short answer

Open the event and tap I'm in (free) or Get tickets (paid). Once you have a place, your pass is on the You tab: under next up for your soonest event, and in Your plans for everything else.

Say you are going

  1. Open the event from Discover or Search.
  2. Tap I'm in on a free event, or Get tickets on a paid one.
  3. Under Bringing anyone?, add guests if the host allows them.
  4. If you are going alone, you can turn on I'm coming on my own. It lets the host know to look out for you.
  5. Tap Confirm, count me in. On a paid event, tap Continue to checkout and pay. See Free and paid events.

After a free RSVP you see you're going! with three choices: Put it in my calendar, Tell someone where I'll be and See my plans.

Find your ticket

  1. Tap You.
  2. Your soonest event is under next up. Tap your pass to open it, or details for the event.
  3. For everything else, tap Your plans. It has two tabs: Coming up and Been there.
  4. Under an event, tap your pass. When check-in is open, the button reads show my pass.

You can open your pass at any time. The check-in code itself only appears nearer the start, and the pass tells you when. See Use your event pass.

On an iPhone, your evening can also appear on the lock screen from two hours before. To turn this off, tap You, then Settings, then Notifications.

Add it to your calendar

  • Right after you RSVP, tap Put it in my calendar.
  • Later, in Your plans, tap the more button next to your pass, then Add to calendar.

Your phone shows you the entry before it is added. We never read your calendar. A waitlist place cannot be added, because it is not a confirmed place yet.

Other things you can do from Your plans

  • Details opens the page for people who are going, with anything the host has shared. The same page opens from Before you go on the event.
  • Pass one on lets you give your place to somebody else.
  • passed to you shows places other people want to give you, and receipts shows your purchases.

Common problems

  • There is no pass button. A pass exists only for a confirmed place at an event that is still on. A waitlist place, a cancelled place or an event the host cancelled has no pass. The plan's status line says which it is.
  • Your paid place is not in Your plans yet. Confirmation usually takes a few seconds. If it is still missing after a few minutes, contact us.
  • The calendar did not open. The app says "No calendar app took that." Check that a calendar app is installed and allowed.
