A charge you do not recognise, or were charged twice

Short answer

If a charge from nCommunity looks wrong, first check whether it matches a place you hold or an extra you bought. If it does not, or you were charged twice for one thing, open a support case with the date and amount. Never send your full card number to anyone.

Check what the charge is for

  1. Look for a receipt email. Every ticket payment sends one with the subject Your receipt for followed by the event name. It lists the admission, any service fee, the total, and the last four digits of the card.
  2. Check your plans. On the You tab, tap Your plans. A place you hold appears under Coming up, or under Been there once the event has passed.
  3. Check extras. On the Your plans screen, tap receipts to see extras bought through an event payment link.
  4. Check waitlists. If you let a waitlist charge your saved card when a place opens, the charge can arrive later than you expect.

Ticket charges come from nCommunity, not from the host, because we take ticket payments on the host's behalf.

Common reasons a charge looks wrong

  • You paid, and your place did not appear straight away. Confirming a paid place can take a moment after your card goes through. Pull down to refresh your plans before trying to pay again.
  • Your held place ran out before the payment finished. If a place was still free, the payment gave you one. If not, the payment is refunded in full.
  • Checkout showed Nothing was charged. That screen means the payment did not go through. If your bank shows a pending amount anyway, contact your bank or support.
  • Someone else used your card. Contact your card provider straight away, then tell us.

Report the charge

  1. On the You tab, tap Settings, then Help and legal, then Contact support.
  2. Tap New case.
  3. Under Kind of problem, choose Payment or refund.
  4. In Short subject, write something like "Charged twice".
  5. In What happened?, give the date of the charge, the exact amount, the event name if you know it, and the last four digits of the card.
  6. Tap Send to support. Replies and the outcome appear in Contact support.

Your card provider

You can also contact your bank or card provider about any charge. If you open a dispute with them, it is handled through your bank's process. You can tell us as well, with the same details.
