Hosting
Creating, running and changing events, your team and the door.
- Become a host There is no separate host sign-up. Starting your first event from the Create tab is what makes you a host.
- Create and publish an event Start an event from the Create tab, fill in each step, add a photo, and publish once the review screen shows nothing still needed.
- Edit an event that is already live Change a live event from Change something. Moving the time or cutting capacity tells everyone coming, automatically.
- Venue, permission and safety requirements for your event What an event needs about where it is held, permission to be there, age limits, access, the Safety Card, and extra rules for hosting at home.
- Capacity, guests and the waitlist for hosts Set how many people fit, how many guests each person may bring, and whether to keep a waitlist. The waitlist moves on its own.
- Add co-hosts and door staff to your event Add a co-host or door staff by their exact @handle. Co-hosts can edit and announce; door staff can only check people in.
- Run check-in at the door Scan passes, type a pass code, show an event code, or check someone in by hand. Walk-ups can be let in at free events only.
- Send an announcement to people coming Post an update on your event for everyone holding a place. Mark it urgent only for important event-day changes.
- Call off an event as a host Call it off from your event. Everyone with a place is told your reason, and anybody who paid gets a full refund.
